Ryan Leaver

Ryan Leaver has a diverse work experience, starting with their most recent position as a Digital Content Producer at Cipher Sports Technology Group since November 2021. Prior to that, they held a similar role at iRival Media starting in August 2020.

From March 2019 to August 2020, Ryan worked at Southern Cross Austereo as a Digital Content Producer, where they reported on AFL match days, conducted research on AFL, and made appearances on the Triple M Cricket Podcast during the 2019 Ashes.

Ryan also gained experience at AusIMM, where they served as a Marketing and Editorial Assistant from September 2018 to August 2020. During this time, they wrote and edited articles for online and the bi-monthly magazine. Ryan also took on the role of Acting Editor for the magazine in February 2019, liaising with experts and graphic designers.

In 2017, Ryan interned at The Newspaper House, writing part-time for three newspapers in the Melbourne area. Ryan also gained experience as a Work Experience/Intern at FOX SPORTS Australia in August 2016, writing breaking news and analysis pieces for their AFL website.

Previously, Ryan worked at Engineering Education Australia as a Marketing Assistant from January 2017 to September 2017, handling social media communication, writing and editing EDMs. Ryan also worked on casual office duties, including data entry, Excel, and research, from January 2015 to December 2016.

Before that, Ryan had roles at Engineers Australia, serving as an Awards Coordinator/Marketing and Communication intern from June 2016 to July 2016, and as a Marketing and Communications intern from January 2014 to February 2014. In these positions, they conducted research, contacted associates, and promoted the Australian Engineering Excellence Awards.

Ryan's early experience includes working as a Football Writer at West Preston-Lakeside Football Club from March 2013 to August 2013, where they wrote match reports and feature articles and communicated with key club officials.

Ryan Leaver attended Assumption College Kilmore from 2008 to 2013, where they completed their VCE. Ryan then went on to study at La Trobe University from 2014 to 2016, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism (Sport).
