CipherMode Labs
Ellen Rubin is a co-founder and advisor at CipherMode Labs. Ellen has also served as the GM of AWS Storage Gateway and DataSync Services at Amazon Web Services (AWS), CEO and co-founder of ClearSky Data, and an early stage investor.
Rubin has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Ellen started their career as a software engineer, before moving into product and business development roles. In 2014, they co-founded ClearSky Data, a cloud storage-as-a-service company that was acquired by Amazon in 2019.
At Amazon, Rubin was responsible for all aspects of the Storage Gateway and DataSync services, including product development, operations, and P&L. Ellen also served as the CEO of ClearSky Data, where they were responsible for the company's strategy, fundraising, and partnerships.
Rubin has a bachelor's degree in computer science from MIT.
