Ciphon helps students turn cold outreach into real research opportunities.

Finding the right professor to email is hard. Knowing what to say is harder. Ciphon solves both. We help students discover research professors aligned with their interests, surface each professor’s published papers and active funding, and auto-generate personalized cold emails grounded in that real data, not generic templates.

What we do:
→ Find professors — Search by department and institution to discover faculty doing work you actually care about.
→ Surface real signals — See recent papers, citation counts, and live grant/funding data so you know who’s active and well-resourced.
→ Write better emails — Generate personalized outreach referencing a professor’s specific work, ready to send in seconds.

Cold emailing works. Most students just never start, or send something forgettable. Ciphon removes the friction so a great research opportunity is one good email away.
