Laya Mohideen

Laya Mohideen is a qualified pharmacist with extensive experience in regulatory affairs and community healthcare. Currently serving as Deputy Manager - Regulatory Affairs Pharmacist at Cipla South Africa since April 2021, Laya has also worked as a pharmacist for the City of Cape Town and Kloof Street Pharmacy. Previous roles include community service pharmacist at Emmaus Hospital, where responsibilities encompassed ward rounds and stock management, and pharmacist intern at King Dinuzulu Hospital, specializing in MDR/XDR TB and Psychiatry. Laya began a pharmacy career as a part-time pharmacy student at Nu Shifa Hospital. Laya holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, completed in 2016.
