Surayah Pretorius CA (SA) currently serves as the Associate Director for Lead Corporate Accounting and Tax at Cipla South Africa, overseeing the implementation of the SAGA Finance strategy and managing financial data across entities to support decision-making and business growth. With extensive experience in corporate accounting and tax, Surayah has held various roles including Senior Manager in SAGA Finance, where responsibilities included income tax calculations, VAT submissions, and resolving tax queries. Prior to Cipla, Surayah worked as an Audit Manager at Grant Thornton Cape Inc., managing audit processes and client relations, and began the career as an audit trainee. Surayah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, a Post-graduate diploma in Applied Accounting Science, and has completed both the Initial Test of Competence and the Public Practice Examination.
