Roberto Palumbo

Roberto Palumbo is an aerospace engineer and researcher currently working as a Research Engineer in the Complex Systems and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at CIRA, where they contribute to projects focused on AI-driven solutions for Air Traffic Management. With a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Naples “Federico II,” Roberto has authored over 40 scientific publications and possesses advanced expertise in machine learning, particularly in deep learning and reinforcement learning applications. They have extensive experience in flight mechanics, trajectory prediction, and data analysis, having previously held positions at CIRA and Thales Alenia Space. Their ongoing research explores innovative technological developments in aviation, including digital assistants for air traffic controllers.
