Xin Yi

Xin Yi is a skilled professional with extensive experience in machine learning and software development. Currently serving as a Staff Machine Learning Scientist at Circle Cardiovascular Imaging since July 2019, Xin has previously held roles as a Senior Research Developer and Software R&D Engineer in the same company. Between March 2017 and June 2019, Xin completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Saskatchewan, focusing on medical image analysis using deep learning techniques. Xin also earned a PhD at the University of Saskatchewan through joint research with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, concentrating on the automatic identification and classification of weed seed species. Earlier experience includes working as a Software Developer at ZTE, where responsibilities included maintaining a system-level verification platform and developing test cases. Xin holds a Master of Engineering in Control Theory and Control Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Hubei University of Technology.
