Dan Schaffer

Dan Schaffer is a highly experienced Staff Site Reliability Engineer at Circle, specializing in supporting the AWS infrastructure for the Poloniex cryptocurrency exchange since December 2014. Prior to this role, Dan served as a Senior Quality Engineer at VMware, focusing on release engineering for vCloud Director and hybrid cloud technologies. Dan’s extensive background includes significant contributions at Adobe Systems, where multiple roles involved leading software quality development in various groups, as well as testing early versions of key products like Flex and ActionScript. Earlier experiences include software engineering positions at Time0, Perot Systems, and Sun Microsystems, where Dan worked on web applications and Java testing tools. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
