Alana Simpson

Alana Simpson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Alana is currently working at CircleCI as an Engineering Manager, a role they started in September 2022. Prior to that, they were a Sr. Technical Program Manager at CircleCI from May 2021 to August 2022.

Before joining CircleCI, Alana worked at Zapproved as a Sr. Scrum Master from July 2019 to May 2021. Alana also has experience at Express Scripts, where they held multiple roles including Scrum Master from April 2018 to June 2019, Associate Scrum Master from December 2017 to April 2018, and Associate IT Project Manager from March 2017 to December 2017.

Alana also worked as a Project Management Associate at Boom Lab from July 2016 to March 2017, and as an Associate at Allen Angel Capital Education Fund from August 2015 to May 2016.

Alana'searly work experience includes roles at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where they worked as a Tour Guide from November 2013 to May 2016 and as a Summer Welcome Leader from February 2014 to August 2014. Alana also served as the President of Alpha Delta Pi from December 2014 to December 2015.

In addition, they gained valuable experience as a Commercial Payments Intern at Commerce Bank from May 2015 to August 2015.

Alana Simpson earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where they attended from 2012 to 2016. In addition to their degree, they obtained several certifications, including an Incident Responder Certification from PagerDuty in November 2021, an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2021, an ICP - Agile Team Facilitation certification from ICAgile in September 2018, a KMP I - Kanban Systems Design certification from Lean Kanban Inc. in April 2018, and a Certified ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance in March 2017.
