Thor Larson has a diverse work experience in various roles. In 2022, they worked as a Junior Software Engineer at Circle Medical - a UCSF Health Affiliate. Before that, in 2022, they were a Co-Founder of Nudge and also worked as a Software Engineer there. In 2021, Thor co-founded Solis, a medical software startup leveraging AI and thermal imaging for diabetic foot ulcer treatment. Thor led product development, business, and research areas in Solis. While in 2021, they also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Hai Lab, where they designed and assembled a magnetic nanoparticle imaging setup. In 2020, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Analytics for Human Development Lab, where they developed a machine learning model to analyze a large thermal image dataset and worked on foot segmentation. In the same year, Thor also served as an Introductory Engineering Student Lab Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2019, they volunteered as a Clinical Volunteer at OUR LADY OF HOPE CLINIC INC. Thor's research experience includes being an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the McAdams Research Group, where they contributed to the design and development of a solar-powered air filtration device. Thor also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Microtechnology, Medicine, and Biology Lab, where they assisted in the fabrication of a microfluidic lymphatic vessel model. Additionally, Thor had an internship as a Student Intern at Flownamics, Inc., where they performed CAD modeling and developed prototypes for fluid pump products.
From 2017 to 2022, Thor Larson attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering and Neurobiology.
