Nikolaos Mellios

Nikolaos Mellios is the current Chief Scientific Officer at Circular Genomics since April 2021. Before that, Mellios worked at The University of New Mexico from August 2015 to February 2024, starting as an Assistant Professor and later becoming an Associate Professor in the School of Medicine, Department of Neurosciences. Prior to their time at UNM, Mellios held positions at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow, as well as at UMass Medical School as a Graduate Student. Additionally, Nikolaos briefly served as a Lecturer in Neuropsychology at Assumption College. Mellios holds a Phd in Neuroscience from UMass Chan Medical School and a degree in Medicine from the Medical School of University of Athens.
