Nigel Fish

Nigel Fish has a diverse work experience that spans from 2005 to 2017. Nigel is currently the Co-Founder and CTO of Circus Technologies, a platform that digitizes talent onboarding for film and television. Prior to this, they co-founded Kamisand Media Group, specializing in web development and acquiring web-based businesses. Nigel also co-founded SciRunner, a venture that operated for one year.

Nigel worked as a Front-End Developer at Blue Terminal Research Analytics, using technologies like D3, Angular.js, and Node.js. Nigel briefly owned their own company, RetoMedia, before joining Firae as a Software Developer. At Firae, they developed automated trading agent applications and researched machine learning methods.

Nigel has previous experience as a Research Assistant, including roles at the Government of Alberta and the Western Centre for Economic Research. In these positions, they conducted research, analyzed data, and collaborated with economists. Nigel also worked as a Lead Software Developer at Witness Digital Entertainment and a Research Assistant at the Canadian Building Energy End-use Data and Analysis Centre.

Nigel Fish completed a Diploma in Object-Oriented Software Technologies at the University of Alberta in the year 2000. Nigel then pursued a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Economics at the same university from 2004 to 2008.
