Alan Chen

Alan Chen has over 20 years of work experience. Alan began their career in 1995 as an Assistant Vice President at Computer Associates, Inc., where they managed the eTrust antivirus product line, developed and supported Microsoft's in-house antivirus solution and OEM bundled, and developed kernel modules for eTrust antivirus software. In 2000, they joined FalconStor Software as the VP of Engineering and Technical Services, where they led worldwide SAN/NAS software-based storage system (NSS) and data protection (CDP) engineering teams, and managed worldwide Professional Services, Technical Support, and Training teams of over a hundred engineers. Alan also created the first software-based SAN/NAS HA solution with FC failover mechanism patented, and designed a software-based metro cluster storage system (Stretched Cluster). In 2013, they moved to Stealthy Startup as the VP of Storage Software. In 2014, they joined ProphetStor Data Services, Inc. as the VP of Engineering, where they managed the engineering team to develop cost-effective multi-cloud solutions and world-class SDS and DR products. Most recently, they were appointed Director of Customer Support at Cirrus Data Solutions Inc. in 2021.

Alan Chen attended the New York Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Master of Science in Computer Science in 1988. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic from the National Taipei University of Technology in 1985.
