Gary Windham's work experience includes a range of roles in the field of technology and systems architecture. Gary started their career in 1993 as a Consultant for TRG, Inc, where they designed and integrated interactive voice response solutions. From 1995 to 2000, Windham worked at the University of Arizona as a Systems Programmer, Senior and later as Principal, where they played a key role in the design and architecture of various systems and applications. Gary then joined HealthTrio LLC in 2000 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were responsible for designing a J2EE-based web application environment. In 2001, Windham returned to the University of Arizona and held positions as Systems Programmer, Principal and Senior Enterprise Systems Architect. In these roles, they led initiatives in architectural planning, development, and evolution of the institution's identity and access management ecosystem. Windham's most recent role was as a Senior Identity Developer at Cirrus Identity since 2023.
Gary Windham attended Glendale Community College from 1989 to 1991, where they studied Computer Science. Gary then transferred to Arizona State University and studied Computer Science from 1991 to 1993. In addition to their formal education, Gary has obtained several certifications. In December 2019, they became an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS). In November 2018, they completed the Machine Learning certification from Coursera. Most recently, they obtained the AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2021. Gary is also planning to obtain the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2023.
