Jimmy Jarrett is currently the CTO at Cirrus Insight. Prior to that, they were the Director of Software Development at MPower Labs from June 2009 to September 2009. There, they introduced Agile processes to staff with a focus on functional deliverables and system quality. Jimmy also delivered business needs while increasing test coverage by over 400% in two month period via a test harness while effectively reducing developer time spent on incoming support issues from 50% of their time to less than 10%. Additionally, they doubled as an architect, providing an architectural review in order to create a technical roadmap focusing on industry standards, system simplification, and enabling product provisioning and ongoing administration to reduce support cycles required by development team.
Before MPower Labs, Jimmy Jarrett worked as an Advisory Software Architect at Misys Healthcare from May 2006 to April 2007. There, they transitioned a Perl based development group to Java. Jimmy also trained and mentored the development staff on object oriented concepts, design patterns, and iterative development practices with a focus on the Rational Unified Process. Jimmy was responsible for the technical design of the clinical based transaction processing system, the support tools, and data warehousing capabilities. Furthermore, they worked with product management and upper management to create a technical roadmap that aligned with business needs.
