Protective Security Advisor

Daniel Schultz is a seasoned professional in critical infrastructure security and resilience with extensive experience in federal agencies. Currently serving as a Protective Security Advisor at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency since February 2018, Schultz previously held the position of Chief of Emergency Services at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security from April 2006 to February 2018. In this role, Schultz oversaw the Emergency Services Sector Specific Agency, ensuring the development of security and resilience programs. Prior to this, as a Sector Specialist and Infrastructure Analyst, Schultz led national efforts to implement the National Infrastructure Protection Plan, focusing on the Transportation and Postal & Shipping sectors. Schultz's career began at Oak Ridge Associated Universities as a Senior Operations Planner, where expertise in planning and strategy for critical infrastructure protection was demonstrated through mentorship and analysis of homeland security issues.
