Gen Tamura

Protective Security Advisor

Gen Tamura has over two decades of experience in emergency management and infrastructure protection. Currently serving as a Protective Security Advisor at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency since November 2020, Gen Tamura focuses on engaging with various government levels and private sector stakeholders to enhance the security and resilience of critical infrastructure. Prior to this role, Gen Tamura spent 23 years at FEMA in various positions, including Emergency Management Specialist and Hazard Mitigation Assistance Specialist, where responsibilities encompassed disaster recovery, hazard mitigation, and public assistance. Gen Tamura holds a Master of Public Health in Environmental/Occupational Health from Loma Linda University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of California, Riverside.
