Michael Lees

Michael Lees, MSIS, PMP, currently serves as a UAS Security Program Specialist at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency since February 2023, contributing to national efforts in managing cybersecurity risks. As the owner of Sparrow Drone Services, LLC since March 2021, Michael also held the position of Federal Intern at the Idaho National Laboratory from May to December 2022. Additional experience includes serving as the only mate aboard the R/V Walton Smith for maritime scientific research from March to November 2022 and a distinguished career in the U.S. Coast Guard from November 2010 to July 2021, achieving ranks from Seaman to Petty Officer First Class. Earlier roles encompass positions as a Video Conferencing Specialist at Fink & Carney and a Payroll Specialist at Career Blazers. Michael obtained a Master of Science in Information Systems with a focus on Cyber Security from Florida International University and a Bachelor's degree in Technical Management with a concentration in Criminal Justice from DeVry University.
