Avinash Kalyanaraman

Avinash Kalyanaraman is a seasoned professional in the field of computer science, currently serving as a Research Engineer in the Innovation Labs at Cisco since May 2020. Prior experience includes a Graduate Research Assistant role at the University of Virginia from January 2014 to December 2019, and research internships at NEC Laboratories America, Inc. and Robert Bosch GmbH, where notable achievements include research on drone-mounted wireless sensors and automotive wireless infrastructure, respectively. Avinash also has a background in software engineering, having contributed to the development of the PacketZoom protocol at PacketZoom and backend services at Zynga. Educational credentials encompass a PhD and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Virginia, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai.
