David Chuck

David Chuck is a Senior Technical Lead at Cisco, working in the Mass-Scale Infrastructure Group since September 2011, focusing on the WAE optimal engine. Previously, David has held positions as a Software Engineering Manager, Technical Lead, and Software Engineer, contributing to the design and development of the Nexus 7000 software as part of the vPC team. Prior to Cisco, David was a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Iowa State University, engaging in research on resource allocation and wireless networks while also supporting students in academic settings. David's internship experiences include positions at Bell Labs and NTT, where energy-efficient networking algorithms and resource allocation in virtual networks were key focus areas. David holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University and a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
