Mudasir Ahmad

Mudasir Ahmad currently serves as the Vice President of Hardware Engineering at Cisco since April 2025. Prior to this role, Mudasir was a Group Manager in System Hardware Reliability at Google, where responsibilities included overseeing a team of over 25 engineers to ensure the deployment of reliable hardware systems across data centers and engaging early in design for reliability. Mudasir's extensive experience at Cisco, spanning from June 2001 to April 2025, includes positions such as Distinguished Engineer and Head of the Center of Excellence for Numerical Analysis, where Mudasir led significant advancements in system packaging and numerical analysis methodologies. Mudasir has also held leadership roles in professional organizations such as the IEEE/CPMT/Santa Clara Valley Chapter, advocating for industry and academic collaboration. Mudasir holds a Master's degree in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, complementing a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio University.
