Octavian Preda

Octavian Preda has extensive experience in networking and technical leadership, currently serving as the EMEA Enterprise Networking Routing & SD-WAN Technical Leader at Cisco since July 2018. In addition, Octavian has held multiple roles at Cisco, including EMEA Enterprise Networking Programmability Leader and EMEA Enterprise Networking SD-WAN & Programmability within the Technical Services organization. Prior to Cisco, Octavian worked at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest as a Teaching Assistant from October 2015 to July 2019, and held various quality assurance positions at Ixia from June 2013 to June 2018, progressing from Intern Quality Assurance to Senior Quality Assurance Engineer. Octavian also contributed as an Instructor and Junior Instructor at Academia Cisco UPB from October 2012 to October 2017. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Security of Complex Networks and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Information Technology, both from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest.
