Samer L. Hijazi

Samer L. Hijazi is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in audio codec development, deep learning, and wireless communication systems. Currently serving as Engineering Director at Cisco since October 2020, Samer leads the delivery of cutting-edge audio solutions for WebEx. Previously, as CTO and Co-founder of BabbleLabs, Inc., Samer played a key role in developing innovative noise-canceling software. Samer's robust background includes significant positions at Cadence Design Systems, Tensilica, LSI Corporation, and Kansas State University, where expertise in signal processing and systems architecture was demonstrated. Samer holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University and multiple advanced degrees in related fields.
