Shayne Miel is a seasoned professional in machine learning and software engineering with extensive experience in leading innovative engineering teams and developing advanced data-driven solutions. Currently serving as Principal Machine Learning Engineer at Cisco since January 2021, Shayne previously held roles such as Architect for Data Science & Engineering at Duo Security and Director of Software Engineering at American Efficient, where significant productivity enhancements were achieved through API updates. At Turnitin, Shayne contributed as both Director of Research and Principal Machine Learning Scientist, driving the development of cutting-edge products for educational applications. Shayne's earlier experience includes VP of Engineering at LightSide Labs and Sr. Director of AI Technologies at Measurement Incorporated, where efforts in machine learning architecture yielded substantial efficiency improvements.
