Ty Thorsen

Ty Thorsen is a Senior Vice President of Engineering at Cisco, leading the global engineering team responsible for all software applications, including Webex products. They served as Vice President of Engineering from 2020, overseeing the development and architecture of Webex Messaging, Calling, Meetings, and other applications. Prior to this, Ty was a Senior Director in the Collaboration Technology Group at Cisco from 2013 to 2020, where they transformed the Cisco Jabber team and significantly contributed to the Webex Teams applications. Ty began their career at Active Voice, where they advanced from intern to Director of Engineering before the company was acquired by Cisco in 2001. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington.
