Nikita Lero began their work experience in 2012 as a Public Relations Intern at Summa Health System. They then worked as a Marketing Student Assistant at The University of Akron and as a Graphic Design, Advertising, and Public Relations Intern at the American Advertising Federation-University of Akron. In 2012, they also served as the VP of Public Relations/Social Media at the Akron PRSSA Chapter. In 2013, they worked as a Customer Service Representative at Jo-Ann Stores, Inc. From 2014 to present, Nikita has been employed at Cision, starting as an Associate Client Experience Specialist, then moving on to become a Client Experience Specialist and eventually a Senior Client Experience Specialist. In these roles, they have been responsible for onboarding clients, identifying opportunities to promote products, counseling clients on SEO techniques, managing releases, and training new hires. They have also worked on Product Management stretch projects, such as building a verification portal prototype and collaborating with product teams. Nikita has received peer recognition and has achieved 150% of their yearly sales goal.
Nikita Lero completed a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations/Image Management from The University of Akron, from 2008 to 2012. In terms of additional certifications, Nikita obtained the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from Scrum Alliance in December 2022. They also completed various courses on product management, data-driven growth, leading effective meetings, and product owner fundamentals from Udemy in 2022. In 2016, Nikita obtained the Miller Heiman Conceptual Selling certification from PR Newswire.
