Daniele Scarpazza

Daniele Scarpazza has had a diverse range of work experiences in the field of research and development. Daniele has worked as a Research and Development Manager at Citadel Securities starting from January 2022. Prior to that, they served as an R&D Team Lead for the High Performance Computing Team at Citadel LLC from November 2014. During their time at Citadel LLC, they led a team that focused on analyzing and accelerating financial workloads on various computing platforms, evaluating novel architectures, and maintaining the company's machine learning software infrastructure.

Before joining Citadel LLC, Daniele worked as a Research Staff Member at D. E. Shaw Research where they designed and implemented massively parallel algorithms for molecular dynamics software on supercomputers. Daniele'swork at D. E. Shaw Research involved the intersection of computer science, computer architecture, physical chemistry, and biology.

Prior to that, they served as a Research Staff Member and a Post-doctoral research fellow at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center. At IBM, they worked on parallel algorithms for emergent multi-core architectures and high-performance algorithms for the Cell Broadband Engine processor.

Daniele also has experience as a Post-doctoral fellow at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and as a PhD Student at IMEC.
