They started their career in 2012 as an Assistant Economist/Welfare Analyst at DWP, where they provided analysis and developed financial models using SQL, SAS Programming, and Excel.
In 2014, Sahin worked as a Service Specialist at Apple before transitioning to State Street in 2015. At State Street, they held multiple roles, including KYC Analyst, Senior Client Onboarding Business Analyst, and Associate Fund Accountant. They took ownership of the end-to-end KYC process, oversaw and signed off on client KYC, and managed a team's workflow.
In 2017, Sahin joined Commerzbank AG as a KYC/AML Consultant and then moved to Credit Suisse as a Client Onboarding Consultant with a focus on investment banking and corporate lending clients. They facilitated the onboarding business transformation for the corporate lending business.
From 2018 to 2020, Sahin worked at Barclays Investment Bank as a Senior Client Onboarding Consultant, where they continued to contribute their expertise in client onboarding.
In 2020, Sahin joined Goldman Sachs as a Client Onboarding Associate, working in that role until December 2021. Most recently, they joined Citadel Securities in 2022, again as a Client Onboarding Associate.

Kani Sahin's education history starts with their attendance at Homerton College of Technology from 2002 to 2007, where they obtained their GCSE degree with 10 GCSE's. They then went on to Brooke House Sixth Form College from 2008 to 2010, where they acquired a degree in 3 A-Level's in the fields of Accounting, Economics, and Mathematics. Following this, Kani Sahin pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics from Brunel University, attending from 2010 to 2014.
In addition to their formal education, Kani Sahin obtained a certification in IMC: Unit 1 The Investment Environment from the CFA Institute in February 2016.
