John Smiley

John Smiley is an experienced Systems Architect at Citadel, focusing on data migration from the Yellowbrick platform to Google BigQuery, along with enhancing operational efficiency through automation. Previously, as Head of Databases at Proton Technologies AG, John led a team to build scalable storage infrastructure while improving security and fault tolerance. John has also served as a consultant, providing insights on database performance and availability, and held various roles at notable companies including Oracle, Amazon.com, TUSC, Sprint PCS, Lucent Technologies, Sun Microsystems, and the Federal Reserve System. John holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Virginia Tech.
