Ellen Mink is a highly accomplished academic leader with extensive experience in research and innovation within higher education. At Capella University from January 2010 to April 2024, Ellen served as Director of Research & Academic Innovation, achieving significant advancements in doctoral programs that enhanced student success and curriculum quality, while managing a large team of faculty and research directors. As Academic Director of Innovation, Ellen implemented a scalable, technology-driven teaching model that resulted in annual savings of $2.1 million and improved student satisfaction. Additionally, Ellen held leadership positions in research strategy development and the first-year graduate experience, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in academic practices. Prior to Capella, Ellen worked as a Research Scientist at the University at Buffalo, leading multiple NIMH-funded research projects focused on addiction and child development. Ellen holds a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University at Buffalo and a BA in Psychology with a minor in Educational Psychology from SUNY Oneonta.
