Bratton Riley has a long and varied work experience. In 2016, they became the Co-Founder and CEO of Citibot, where they developed a vision and strategy to grow the company into a customer service tool for governments and companies. From 2004 to 2016, they were employed at Maybank Industries, where they were in charge of Business Development. Bratton was successful in targeting anchor customers for long-term marine terminal operations agreements, arranging financial structures to support capital investment for the terminals, and managing an eight-person development team. From 2002 to 2004, they were a Law Clerk for Chief Justice Jean H. Toal at the Supreme Court of South Carolina.

Bratton Riley began their education in 1992 at the University of Virginia, where they earned a degree in Bratton'story. In 1998, they received a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the Darla Moore School of Business, specializing in International Business. Bratton also attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, graduating in 2002 with a JD in Commercial Law.
