Janice Quintana

Janice Quintana, Government Nerd, has a wealth of experience in the public sector. Janice began their career in 1995 at MCI Worldcom, where they held several roles including call center management, international marketing, international program management, training, sales and customer service. In 2002, they were appointed by Mayor Adrian Fenty as the Director of The Office of Unified Communications (OUC) in the DC Government - Executive Office of the Mayor. In this role, they managed the 911 emergency operations center which received an annual call volume of 1.3 million calls for EMS, Fire and Police. In 2010, they were appointed by the City Manager of the City of Charlotte - Department of the City Manager as the Director of CharMeck 311. In 2017, they were recruited to assist in the restructuring and reboot of Atlanta\u2019s 311 non-emergency center. In 2019, they became a freelance advisor and consultant, providing advice, public relations, business development and consulting for local government organizations and companies. Janice was also selected as a featured contributor blogger for Govloop, showcasing local government processes and accomplishments. In 2020, they were appointed as the North Carolina State Director for Power the Polls, Samuel DeWitt Proctor Conference INC, and also became the Director Of Business Development for Local and State Government at Citibot. Additionally, they joined Team Bloomberg as a Field Organizer.

Janice Quintana Government Nerd has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from The University of New Mexico. Janice also attended Eldorado. In 2020, they obtained a COVID-19 Contact Tracing certification from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Health. In 2018, they obtained a certification from the City of Atlanta for Atlanta's Citizens Police Academy. In 2014, they obtained a Leadership Development Program (LDP) certification from the Center for Creative Leadership. In 2012, they obtained a Municipal Administration certification from the School of Government, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Janice also has a certification from Disney Institute for Disney's Approach to Leadership/Business Excellence.
