Guorong Qian

Dr. Guorong Qian is the Vice Chairman of CITIC Capital Holdings Limited and President of CITIC Capital Equity Investment (Tianjin) Corporation Limited. Prior to this, he was the Executive Vice President of CITIC Capital Holdings Limited where he held various senior management positions since joining the firm in 2002. Before joining CITIC Capital, he was the General Manager of Brokerage and Asset Management department in CITIC Securities and the General Mana​​ger of Ka Wah Capital. Previously, he worked as the Managing Director at China VentureTech Investment Company in Hong Kong where he ran the corporate finance, securities and asset management departments.

Dr. Qian was once an Associate Professor at China​'s Liaoning University lecturing international finance. He was also a guest lecturer in economics at the University of North Carolina. He received a Ph.D. from the Fin​​ance Institute of the People's Bank of China.
