Zixian Deng is a process engineer currently employed at CITIC Pacific Mining since December 2022, with responsibilities including addressing safety concerns and developing process standards. Prior experience includes serving as a research associate at Curtin University from October 2020 to December 2022, where activities involved metallurgical testing, data analysis, literature review, and report writing. Zixian also worked as a metallurgical technician at Mining & Process Solutions Pty Ltd from February 2018 to October 2020, focusing on laboratory-scale tests and process quality monitoring. An internship at Hokkaido University in February 2017 included experiments on rare earth minerals. Zixian holds a PhD and a master's degree in metallurgical engineering from Curtin University, as well as a bachelor's degree in mineral processing from Wuhan Institute of Technology.
