Benjamin Elconin has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Benjamin began their career as a Program Coordinator at the YMCA of Orange County, where they organized and supervised social and recreational programming for adults with developmental disabilities. Benjamin then worked as a Graduate Assistant at Syracuse University, assisting a professor in preparing and conducting classes, as well as digitizing records.

Benjamin's next position was as a Contributing Writer at China Economic Review, where they contributed articles on various topics. Benjamin also served as an Intern in the Office of International Affairs at the US Treasury, where they conducted research and prepared background materials for high-level meetings and engagements with foreign countries.

Benjamin then transitioned to the nonprofit sector, working at Pencils of Promise as a Financial Data Coordinator and later as an Operations Manager in Laos. In these roles, they managed budgets, collaborated on accessibility initiatives, supervised payment and distribution processes, and oversaw in-country operations.

Following their time at Pencils of Promise, Benjamin worked at Impact Amplifier as an Associate Fellow and at Multiplying Good as a Manager and later as the Director of Finance, Data, and Administration. In these positions, they handled financial matters, managed administrative tasks, implemented policies, and improved processes through technological advancements.

Most recently, Benjamin has been appointed as the Deputy Finance Director at Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund. With their wealth of experience across different sectors and their expertise in finance and administration, Benjamin is well-equipped for this role.

Benjamin Elconin obtained their Master of Arts degree in International Relations and Economics from Syracuse University - Maxwell School in the years 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Economics at UC Irvine from 2005 to 2010.
