Currently serving as a Trustee for the Incorporated Village of Valley Stream, Dermond focuses on fostering transparent governance and enhancing resident services. With prior roles including Senior Corporate Counsel and Director at various firms, Dermond has developed a robust expertise in corporate law, governance, and strategic business development. An educator as well, Dermond serves as an Adjunct Professor at Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law and has lectured on corporate ethics at Columbia University School of Law. Dermond holds a BA in Economics from Amherst College and a JD from Columbia Law School, where they were recognized as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
