Horace Yip

Horace Yip is Market Manager for Hong Kong where he manages a team of highly experienced private banking professionals and develops the wealth management businesses in Hong Kong. Horace is a member of the Hong Kong Executive Committee of the Bank.

He started at Citi as a Relationship Service Officer in 1999 and following a stint at Hang Seng Bank and Hang Seng Trustee, he returned to Citi in 2005 as a Senior Associate Banker in the Platinum team. Horace served as a banker covering Hong Kong clients in 2006 and expanded his coverage to the Thai market. He returned to the Platinum team in 2008 and continued to expand his coverage of the Hong Kong market. Most recently, Horace was a Team Head in the Private Bank's Hong Kong team, managing ultra-high net worth client relationships in Hong Kong and Thailand.

Horace graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of British Columbia. In 2005, he obtained the Foundation Certificate in International Trust Management and Diploma of Trustee Investment & Financial Appraisal from the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP), the professional body for the trust and estate profession worldwide.

He is an Executive Director of the Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA) of Hong Kong. Being an active member of the community, Horace is an Honorary Chairman of the Youth Committee of The Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong (CMA) and a Board Member of the Rotary Club of The Peak.

Horace speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
