Jiger Patel

Jiger Patel is an experienced compliance professional with a strong background in financial crime risk management and anti-money laundering (AML). Currently serving as Managing Director in Independent Compliance Risk Management at Citi since December 2020, Jiger previously held senior roles including Deputy Group Chief Financial Crime Officer at NatWest Group and various director positions at Citi, Barclays, Pershing, and Credit Suisse. With over two decades of experience, key responsibilities have included oversight of AML, Sanctions, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption systems across multiple regions in Europe and the Middle East, as well as leading financial crime technology strategies. Jiger holds a BA in Business Studies from Middlesex University and has a solid educational foundation from Colchester Sixth Form College and Colchester Boys' High School.
