Matthew Daniel is a seasoned investment banking professional currently serving as Managing Director and previously as Director in the Global Retail Group at Citi since August 2013. Matthew played key roles in notable transactions, including Sweetgreen's $419 million IPO, First Watch's $196 million IPO and $175 million refinancing, Whataburger's $2.5 billion refinancing, and Krispy Kreme’s $500 million IPO. Prior to this, Matthew earned an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and has held various positions in marketing and editorial roles at companies such as Vintus and Wine & Spirits Magazine. Academic qualifications also include a BA in Political Science and English Literature from Columbia University and an AOS in Culinary from The Culinary Institute of America.
