Matthew McDougal

Matthew McDougal is an experienced legal professional with a diverse background in litigation and legal education. McDougal served as a Judicial Extern for the American Bar Association and U.S. District Court, gaining valuable insights into courtroom procedures and business law. As a Litigation Attorney at Locke Lord LLP, McDougal represented commercial banking lenders and mortgage servicing firms in various legal matters, including complex bankruptcy and consumer litigation. In subsequent roles, McDougal has held positions such as Vice President & Assistant General Counsel at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and currently serves as Senior Vice President & Lead Counsel at Citi. Additionally, McDougal contributes to legal education as an Adjunct Professor at UNT Dallas College of Law and holds the position of Chair for the Judicial Nominating Commission for the City of Dallas. McDougal holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University, complemented by a certification from the Blakely Advocacy Institute at the University of Houston Law Center.
