Michael Barnes, MBA, LSSGB, is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in private equity and investment management. Currently serving as Vice President and Asia Private Equity Portfolio Manager for the Citigroup US Pension Plan since January 2017, Michael oversees all Private Equity Fund investments in the Asian region. Prior roles at Citi include consulting in alternative investments and investor relations, as well as a vice presidency within the US Pension Plan. In addition to financial expertise, Michael is the President and CEO of PepiPets, Inc., a startup focused on companion animal healthcare. Michael holds an MBA from Rutgers Business School and a Bachelor's Degree in Jazz and Contemporary Music & Business from The New School, along with an Associate’s Degree in Professional Music/Music Business from Berklee College of Music.
