Rahul Paul, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience. Rahul is currently working as a Lead R&D Scientist at CitiPower and Powercor, where they are responsible for research and development projects. Prior to this, they held the position of Data Science Lead, Digital Innovation at the same company. Rahul also worked as a Data Scientist specializing in computer vision and LiDAR technology in the LiDAR Lab. Before joining CitiPower and Powercor, Rahul worked as a Data Scientist at KPMG Australia. From 2014 to 2018, they were associated with the University of Newcastle, where they completed their PhD in Machine Learning and Optimization. Rahul also served as a Research Teaching Assistant and a Graduate Teaching Assistant during their time at the university. Rahul gained research experience as a Research Intern at Xerox Research Center India and as a Research Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Rahul started their career as an Engineer at Xerox and also worked as a Product Engineer at JUSTEAT.IN. Overall, Rahul Paul has a strong background in data science, research, and engineering.

Rahul obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Science from University Institute of Technology, RGPV, from 2006 to 2010. Rahul pursued a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Computer Science from International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore, from 2010 to 2012. Finally, they successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Newcastle, from 2014 to 2018.
