Meaghan Owen

Meaghan Owen has a diverse range of work experience in security and safety operations. Meaghan is currently a Security Operations Analyst at Citizen. Prior to this, they worked as a Security Operations Analyst at First Republic Bank from October 2020 to January 2022.

Meaghan also has experience in event security management at New York Road Runners, where they served as an Assistant Manager, Security and Safety Operations. In this role, they worked closely with private security vendors to ensure proper staffing for events and managed large security budgets for marquee events like the TCS New York City Marathon.

Before their time at New York Road Runners, Meaghan worked as a Personnel Liaison at the New York City Department of Transportation. Meaghan also served as a Senior Police Administrative Aide at the New York City Police Department for five years.

Meaghan began their career as an intern at the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and the New York City Fire Department. Their diverse background and experience in security and law enforcement make their a valuable asset in their current role as a Security Operations Analyst.

Meaghan Owen obtained a Master's Degree in Justice Studies - Terrorism and Homeland Security from Southern New Hampshire University in the years 2014-2015. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from St. Francis College, where they studied from 2009 to 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Meaghan also obtained a Google Certificate in Project Management from Coursera. Specifically, they completed the Google Project Management Certificate in July 2022. Meaghan also holds certifications in Sports Event Risk Management from the National Emergency Response and Recovery Training Center, and Domestic Radicalization and Recruitment from the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness. Furthermore, they have completed the New Jersey Regional Intelligence Academy's Basic Analyst Training and the Open Source Practitioner's Course offered by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
