Rani Gharbie has a diverse background in the hospitality industry, starting with internships at Hotel De Paris and InterContinental Geneva. Rani later worked in various roles at Hyatt Hotels Corporation before moving on to positions at Jones Lang LaSalle, InterContinental Hotels Group, Virgin Hotels, Pod Hotels, and Life House. Rani also founded CEDAR FUNDS and served as an adjunct professor at Columbia University. Currently, they hold the position of Managing Director, Investment & Development, Americas at citizenM hotels.
Rani Gharbie completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Management from Glion Institute of Higher Education in 1999. In 2004, they obtained an MBA from HEC Montréal. Rani furthered their education by earning a Master's degree in Real Estate from Columbia University in 2013. Additionally, they received a certification in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management from Cornell University in 2010.
