Jon Crook began their work experience in 1999 as an Analyst Programmer at Harrods. Jon then worked as a Solution Developer & Consultant at Extraprise from 2001 to 2003. Crook joined Barclays in 2003, where they held various roles such as Lead CMS Developer, Expert Analyst Programmer, Head of Innovation Engineering, Internet Portfolio Manager, and CMS & Public Site Director. In 2015, they became the Software Engineering Director for Digital Banking at Barclays, leading a global team and delivering a multi-million-pound change portfolio. Crook left Barclays in 2023 to complete a six-month intensive course on Machine Learning & AI at Imperial College. Jon is currently the Director of Technology at Citizens Advice.

Jon Crook earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from The University of Sheffield between 1991 and 1994. Jon then obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science from Sheffield Hallam University in the year 1997. In 2023, Jon Crook enrolled in Imperial College Business School, where they obtained a Certificate of Education in Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence. Jon also obtained a Professional Certificate in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence from the same institution in 2023. Additionally, Jon Crook holds a certification as a Scrum Master, although the institution and date of completion are unspecified.
