David Badolato

David Badolato has extensive experience in information security and IT operations. David currently holds the position of VP/Director of Information Security at Citizens Trust Bank. Prior to this, they worked at First Citizens Bank as the GW/ISO, IT Department Manager, where they played a crucial role in the acquisition of Gwinnett Community Bank. David has also served as the Information Security Officer and IT Department Head at Gwinnett Community Bank, where they focused on regulatory compliance and strategic planning. In addition, David has held positions at Georgia United Credit Union as a Senior Network Administrator, State Employees Credit Union as an IT Director, Ghostwheel Consulting as the Owner/Network Consultant, Insol as a Senior Network Engineer, and Aacro Computer Systems as a Network Specialist. David began their career in the US Navy, where they operated and maintained advanced weapon system radars.

David Badolato obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from Gwinnett Technical College in the years 2013 to 2015. David then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Cyber-security and Information Assurance at Western Governors University from 2020 to 2021.

In addition to their formal education, David Badolato acquired several certifications. In May 2020, they obtained the CompTIA A+ ce Certification. In June 2020, they earned the CompTIA Network+ ce Certification and the CompTIA IT Operations Specialist – CIOS Stackable Certification. In December 2020, they achieved the CompTIA Security+ ce Certification, the CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist – CSIS Stackable Certification, and the Associate of (ISC)² certification. David'smost recent certification was the Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) from (ISC)², which they obtained in January 2021.
