Beth Keith, MS has a solid background in healthcare education and training. Beth started their career at CoxHealth in 2000 as a Community Education Coordinator and later became the Director Healthcare Education & Outreach/American Heart Association Training Center Coordinator. Beth oversaw a team of instructors and adjunct faculty, managing the American Heart Association Training Center and providing healthcare-focused educational programs for the CoxHealth hospital system and the community. In 2013 alone, their team trained over 11,000 community members in life support. Beth also worked at HeartTraining, LLC as a Training Center Faculty, where they were committed to providing American Heart Association training programs throughout Missouri and Kansas. Currently, Beth is the Director of Education Services at Citizens Memorial.

Beth Keith holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Health Promotion & Wellness Management, which they obtained from Missouri State University from 1999 to 2000. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Health Sciences from Truman State University, where they studied from 1992 to 1997. In addition to their formal education, Beth also has several certifications from the American Heart Association. Beth became a BLS Regional Faculty in June 2008, a BLS Training Center Faculty in January 2003, and a BLS Instructor in January 2001.

Citizens Memorial

Citizens Memorial Hospital, which opened in 1982, is located in Bolivar, Missouri, in the center of Polk County. The Hospital operates 14 federally-certified rural health clinics in Bolivar and surrounding communities. Also, it operates specialty physician clinics on the Hospital’s campus in Bolivar. The Hospital provides a full range of medical and surgical services. These services include invasive/interventional cardiology services with designations as a Level II STEMI Center, Level III Stroke Center, and Level III Trauma Center, inpatient surgery plus a separate outpatient surgery center, and a full range of diagnostic imaging services. A dedicated intensive care unit is available for patients requiring more intensive medical care. The obstetrics care unit, called The CMH Birth Place, delivers more than 550 babies annually. In 1986 the District assisted in the organization of the Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation, which operates six long-term care facilities in Bolivar and surrounding communities, as well as home health, hospice, home medical equipment, and retail pharmacy services. Collectively, the Hospital and Foundation employ approximately 2,220 people, more than any other employer in Bolivar and Polk County. CMH is one of the top 10 largest employers in southwest Missouri according to Springfield Business Journal. The Hospital’s primary service area is Polk County, Missouri. The secondary service area consists of the surrounding Missouri counties of Cedar, Dade, Dallas, Hickory, St. Clair, the southern half of Benton County, and the northwest portion of Greene County.
