Tj Gist

TJ Gist is an experienced educator with a demonstrated history in teaching and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Lead Teacher at Citizens of the World Charter Schools since August 2018, TJ has contributed as a third grade lead teacher, mentor teacher, basketball coach, National School Reform Faculty facilitator, and Tier 2 phonics interventionist. Prior experience includes positions as a Lead Teacher for second and third grades at Two Rivers Public Charter School and as a second grade teacher at Ingenuity Prep. Additionally, TJ has experience as a Civil Rights Coordinator with the Council on American-Islamic Relations - WA, focusing on case management and rights education. Educational credentials include a Master of Education from Johns Hopkins University School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology from Seattle Pacific University.
