Marquist Ware

National Teaching Fellow at Citizen Schools

Marquist Ware is an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching and mentoring. Currently serving as an ENL High School Instructor at Bronx Prep Charter School since April 2016, Marquist is responsible for creating and managing instructional materials while promoting a disciplined and academically rigorous school culture. As a National Teaching Fellow at Citizen Schools since August 2015, Marquist has developed intensive lesson plans aimed at enhancing sixth grade language learners' skills. In addition to academic roles, Marquist has worked as a Resident Assistant at New York University, supporting a diverse group of undergraduate seniors, and has served as a Zumba Instructor, creating fitness programs for a wide age range. With a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language from New York University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Human Services and Sociology from California State University-San Bernardino, Marquist continues to make significant contributions to English language education and student services.
