CitizenU is a verified microblogging platform built for real people and real conversations.

Social media has grown rapidly, but trust hasn’t kept up. Fake accounts, bot amplification, and unverified identities have made it difficult to know who is actually behind a post. In an environment where misinformation spreads quickly, identity matters.

CitizenU was created to address that gap.

Every account on CitizenU is linked to a verified human identity. We use DigiLocker for secure authentication, which means we do not store Aadhaar numbers, government IDs, or personal documents on our servers. Verification happens at the source. We receive only a confirmation that a real person exists behind the account.

Our goal is simple: build a social media platform where conversations are authentic, engagement is genuine, and trust is part of the design.

Why CitizenU?

• Verified identity for every account
• Reduced bot and fake profile risk
• Privacy-first verification architecture
• Built with India’s digital ecosystem in mind
• Focused on meaningful public discourse

We believe digital trust should not be optional.

CitizenU is not about chasing inflated metrics. It’s about building a credible online community where one person equals one account.

If you care about authenticity in online conversations, you’ll understand why CitizenU exists.
